About the project

Project PACMAn has joined the European Territorial Cooperation Programme MED, under Measure 1.2. “Strengthening strategic cooperation between economic development actors and public authorities.” This transnational project with a total duration of 3 years (2010-2013), in which, apart from the Chamber of Kilkis, nine public and private institutions from six Mediterranean countries (Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Cyprus and Greece).

Refers to stimulate innovation and the dynamics of the field of agro-food products in Mediterranean countries by promoting the creation of cooperation networks and clusters (called ‘clusters’), with the aim of developing the competitiveness of enterprises sector, the attractiveness of their products and the internationalization of the sector.

Project PACMAn will substantially contribute to better use of the opportunities of agro-food sector in the area of ??Kilkis, thereby enhancing an environment able to support changes and improvements related enterprises and institutions, balanced and sustainable development of the region, involving important factors the business community and productive agri-food sector. The project will be implemented PACMAn pilot actions that will contribute to finding horizontal solutions for critical business issues in the sector and the establishment of integrated policies, regional marketing and sustainable innovative models to support the internationalization and expansion of the agri-food sector international level.
